#mastcelldisease Hi everyone. May I take a few moments of your day? The link below is a well written article on the main disease I have, Mast Cell Disease. I actually have been diagnosed with two versions. Like many mast cell patients, I have other diagnoses as well, like EDS, SFN, etc..those are spin offs from the mast cell nonsense, as I call it, meaning the mast cell disease causes other diseases. Everyone says I look great. You see what I want you to see. What none of you see are the happenings inside the shell. Inside my skin is a horror show only a few people have witnessed. The raw nerve endings, the red swollen inflamed everything, the bone and muscles being eaten away slowly. It’s frustrating and painful with very little treatments available that do not cause more problems. I cannot take pain meds. They cause huge problems, so my pain management options are massages to the point they do not set off the mast cells, grounding or earthing, light exercise and stretching. Ice works for injuries, but cold is a big trigger so mostly my days are filled with pain many of you can't imagine and I learn to live with if I want to have a meaningful life. Exercise is both a help and a trigger, so there is a fine line to balance. Diet can be a trigger. Many healthy anti inflammatory foods are not mast cell friendly. Some foods are okay one day yet set off a reaction the next with no apparent variable change. Our world is strange filled with so many threats. If it weren’t for modeling and acting as my outlet, I’d be a mess. Sleep is the best solution, but who wants to sleep their entire time on this planet? No, not me. I came here to participate and create cool experiences. I will do that, whatever “that” looks like and despite these issues. Docs say my activity will shorten my life. My reply back is, I can sleep for 30 years or I can live for 5-20. I choose the latter. I choose turning a death sentence into a life sentence. Please give this a read and then go to TMS4acure.org and donate so we can have meaningful research too. I cannot fund this all myself. Thank you. And if you do read it, please reply with ”read the article” in the comments so I know if anyone is paying attention On this channel. This helps me to know where to place my efforts. https://www.jillcarnahan.com/2024/04/12/mast-cell-activation-syndrome-one-hidden-cause-of-psychiatric-symptoms/ Peace out and stay beautiful. Until next time, Ann Photographer Pat Ventrello
